About Ripple Counseling

My inspiration for Ripple Counseling was sparked by the imagery of a ripple in the water. What begins as a small drop turns into a larger ripple that continues expanding. That is how I visualize the process of therapy. What starts as 50 minutes in the therapy room turns into a ripple effect outside—making lasting change on your life and those around you.

My favorite part of being a therapist is providing a confidential space where clients can feel free to express their inner thoughts without judgement. That freedom can be healing in itself.

I practice primarily through the framework of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). CBT is an evidence-based practice that focuses on learning more about the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and using different tools to reframe any parts of this pattern that create distress.

I am specifically interested in incorporating self-compassion into treatment. This involves bringing awareness to any negative self-talk you engage in and learning to be kinder to the part of yourself that you critique. A question I often ask clients is: What would you say to a friend or loved one who expressed these negative feelings about themselves?

I enjoy helping clients learn more about themselves and build awareness for their own growth and strengths. Each person is on their own, unique journey and I will always meet you where you are — wherever that may be!
